Daley K The Stallion Daley K

The pedigree of this attractive and athletic stallion is a rare mix of proven class and performance on both sides.

His sire Daktylus is by Diskus, who sired The Natural - 1987 showjumping World Cup final winner. The dam of Daktylus - Abeba , is by Absatz - Sire of Argentan (famous for both his dressage and showjumping off-spring, and particularly  for his most famous son Argentinus), Aramis – 1984 showjumping World Cup winner, and Allegro – Sire of noted dressage stallions Diamond and Picandt .

Daley K's dam, Gold Song also has illustrious parentage. Her sire, Goldstern , is by Gothard (Grand sire of Bockmann's Genius , 1992 showjumping World Cup final winner and Olympic Silver medalist) a very prominent horse in the G-Line Dynasty, as well as dressage talents such as Monica Thoedorescu's Grunnox and Carol Lavell's Gifted .

Gold Song's dam, Love Song , is by Lateran, the great Trakehner sire who produced a number of international show jumpers including the British high jump record holder, Everest Lastic. With such a grand heritage, it is little wonder Daley K is now passing on such talent and temperament to his off-spring.

Daley K  is best known for his showjumping progeny, but he has also sired top level dressage horses and several  great eventers.  Recently (Sept. 2008) he received great attention for being sire of   Warwind , the winner of the prestigious Garryowen trophy at the Royal Melbourne Show. Warwind  a highly successful showhorse is the first Warmblood winner of this famous event.

Daley K, 25 years old on the 15th of January 2009, is still in great spirits, and is still very much the centre pin of our breeding program.  He  runs on broad acres with his mares and foals at Blackall Park.
